The Broken Unit Measure can be imported through the OneSource (OS) Nutritional import. When imported successfully, Broken Unit Measure information can be found under a specific item in Inventory > Inventory Management > Master Inventory.
The OS Nutritional import includes the following columns, providing the information required for the Broken Unit Measure:
•brokenMeasureQty
•brokenMeasureDesc
•brokenMeasureWeight
•brokenMeasureGramWeight
•brokenMeasureGramOrOunce
Once the information is successfully imported, users no longer have to manually select the measure when initially setting up the item, although the option to manually change the broken unit measure by selecting the item from the Select Measure drop-down list remains.
When Broken Unit Measure information is not provided, the Measures, Nutritionals, and Meal Patterns tabs on the Master Inventory page are inactive (grayed out). The tabs automatically become available after Broken Unit Measure information is successfully imported.
