Recipes have an Active status by default. When the Show Inactive Recipes checkbox at the top of the Recipes page is checked, recipes with a status of Inactive are included along with recipes with an Active status.
Before inactivating a recipe, the system will check whether the recipe is in use in the following places: active menu cycle, schedule menu cycle, open production record, in another recipe as an ingredient, and if it has on-hand amounts. If not in use, the selected recipes are inactivated and Recipe(s) Successfully Inactivated appears. The recipe status is set to Inactive and is removed from the main list of recipes. The system will list recipes that were inactivated (Recipes Inactivated) and any recipes that were unable to be inactivated (Recipes Unable to be Inactivated).
Check the checkbox next to a recipe, click the more icon, and select Inactivate Recipe or Activate Recipe from the menu, as appropriate. Multiple recipes can be selected and inactivated or activated at the same time.
Note the following:
• If selected recipes are active, Inactivate Recipe is enabled and Activate Recipe is disabled.
• If selected recipes are inactive, Inactivate Recipe is disabled and Activate Recipe is enabled.
• If both active and inactive recipes are selected, both Inactivate Recipe and Activate Recipe are enabled.
• If both active and inactive recipes are selected and you click Inactivate Recipe, the system will inactivate only the selected active recipes (the inactive recipes remain selected but are disregarded).
• If both active and inactive recipes are selected and you click Activate Recipe, the system will activate only the selected inactive recipes (the active recipes remain selected but are disregarded).
• The Inactivate Recipe and Activate Recipe options are disabled if no recipes are selected. The Must select at least one active recipe to inactivate or Must select at least one inactive recipe to activate tooltip appears when you hover over the options.
