You may be obligated to verify all suspicious applications. You must manually add these applications to the verification sample. This type of verification is called Verification for Cause. You can verify these applications after they have been approved for Free or Reduced benefits. After you have added the applications to the verification sample, follow the normal process of verification. The Notification of Verification letter can be sent with the Notification of Benefits letter. Once the verification has started, you must follow through.
