The Horizon School Technology Eligibility website guides parents/guardians through completing Online Applications and Online Household Surveys.
Three workflows are supported at the Eligibility/Free and Reduced website:
1. The Free and Reduced Online Applications feature allows non-CEP sites to collect applications online. To enable this feature, check the Enable Online Applications Website checkbox (Admin > Definitions/Setup > Community > Eligibility > Online Applications).
2. The Online Household Survey feature allows CEP sites to collect household surveys online. To enable this feature, check the Enable Household Survey Website checkbox (Admin > Definitions/Setup > Community > Eligibility > Online Household Survey).
3. Both the Enable Online Application Website checkbox and the Enable Household Survey Website checkbox can be activated to support districts that include both CEP and non-CEP sites. These sites can collect both online applications and household surveys.
The district (a mixture of CEP and non-CEP schools) should be licensed for both FRO and Household Surveys to allow parents to enter an application for the non-CEP student or a household survey for the CEP student.
When the Online Application or Online Household Survey URL is launched, the Welcome to Horizon School Technology Eligibility page is displayed and the parent/guardian is prompted to select all the schools that each of the students attend.
• If the parent/guardian selects schools that are only non-CEP, the process will default to the Online Application process.
• If the parent/guardian selects schools that are only CEP, the process will default to the Online Household Survey process.
• If the parent/guardian selects schools that are both CEP and non-CEP, the process will default to the Online Application process with the Household Survey income range captured in the background.
